Hi, I’m Helmuth Schmitz, professional bug hunter, part-time coffee philosopher, and full-time code whisperer. For the past 25 years, I've been deep in the trenches of software development here in Brazil, building everything from video players to animation composers, from audio editors to entire multimedia platforms, mostly for TV stations and creative professionals who want their pixels perfectly in place.
I speak fluent C++, C, Java, Qt, and OpenGL, and I'm on very friendly terms with Linux (we’ve been through a lot together). Whether it’s Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, or Android. If it runs code, I’ve probably written something for it. I’ve also created tools for the folks who create tools, which is either meta or just a sign I’ve been doing this too long.
I have a thing for problems. I like them. I chase them down. I fix them. It's a weird hobby, but it’s led me to become a full-stack developer with an insatiable hunger for knowledge and an unhealthy relationship with bytes and classes.
I love what I do... possibly... a little too much! Oh, and I love music too... but let’s save that story for another commit.
